Cynical at best.

Just saw the Michael J Fox ad. Something struck me...

"Wisconsin holds a special place in my heart, because it is the place where stem cell research was born."

Since they so dutifully avoid the more accurate, politically-loaded, troublesome word "embryonic", the assertion that of a fondness for where anything "was born" is cynical at best, evil at worst.

When it comes to the parties involved, I am inclined to believe either.

If Mike Fox thinks EMBRYONIC stell cells hold the cure to his disease, I hope he strongly encourages his wife, daughter, cousins, aunts, nieces, etc., to donate their eggs to the cause that he believes will cure him.

Few people are talking about the DEATHS and SERIOUS PROBLEMS associated with the harvesting of women's eggs!

M.F. PS Check out Fox's foundation and see how little money he has donated to the embryonic cause.

The real situation is that there are a surplus of embryos since infertile couples save more than they will ever use; so what is the greater evil, flush them or use them?

You may be willing to assert that two wrongs make a right. I am not. Thank you for allowing the absolute consistency of the the Church stand on these matters to shine through.
